Baby fish from no where in my pond?

I just found a little school of fish about an inch long each in my pond.The thing is my gold fish are only about 5 inches long/3yrs old and are all gold,not black and silver like the baby's.Birds often bath in my pond,Is it possible that the baby fish may have been in eggs that whir transported in a birds feathers?
