My study partner won't hook up with me because he's worried we wont be able to work together. what do i do?

i am helping a guy in one of my cles lear nthe material. he told me today that he wants to hook up with me, but can't because we have "a working relationship" and he can't afford to ruin that because he needs to p this cl. i am not exactly sure what to do. i really want to hook up with him. we hang out outside of cl, so there are opportunities, but he seems really worried about this affecting me helping him. what should i do? (by the way, neither of us are too talkative about this kind of stuff)
