Yank Views British Movies?

Hi! I'm a Yank, as you'll soon tell by my misspellings of tyre, flavour, and realise. Despite my nationality, I watch a lot of British and Uk productions. After years of doing this, I can't help but wonder why I see so many Ford cars all about and people drinking Budweiser beer. I'm not a complete dolt, so I do realize that Ford has plants in the UK, and Budweiser is obviously exported, but to the degree with which I see it in British film, I can't help but wonder if it's really that common. In nearly every film I watch, if it's a bar scene, they're drinking budweiser. Each time they go driving about, the camera always pans by Ford logos on autos. Well, is it that common, or do Ford and Anheuser-Busch contribute a lot of money to British film hence a lot of adverts?
