My First new unit 3rd ID?

I just joined a new new unit. 3rd ID FT. Stewart and it's seems i'm having trouble with people in my platoon. I'm quiet at times and they feel like i don't care to be apart of them. They think i don't care about them or anything. I'm just quiet but they can't seem to understand that. My NCO always bashes me for being unmotivated and smokes me sometimes but i just shut up because I'm just a private. I don't dream all day about killing people like my other platoon mates do. I love the army i think it's great but the people I'm with are making it kind of rough at times. I feel I'm misunderstood, but i can't really say anything because i don't want to get smoked. Any ideas on Wat I should do? I'm also deploying with these same set of guys real soon. I don't know if they have my back or not.
